Do you know Oprah's Secret for longer legs?

Nude or flesh colored heels give the appearance of being an extension of your own legs. When you elongate with nude heels, legs appear thinner and longer than ever before. Us 5'5... okay 5'3.5 girls- could use every inch of taller, thinner legs that we can get.

Pierre Hardy could not have made a more flattering heel than these nude colored patent leather slingbacks. A color to go with everything, a style that is a proven classic, and a heel that instantly adds 3.5" of pure legs make these size 38 shoes an instant wardrobe fave.

*How old becomes new again

Reduce reuse recycle...

That's why we love consignment. What's old can always be new again, either by selling your old goods to someone who will put them to use, or by reusing items in a new creative way.

We simply love what Tiffany Chou did with an old door. She took this perfectly good slab of wood and made it into a table to display her treasures. Not only do we think this is fun, creative and innovative, we also applaud the eco-friendliness. Loving the earth- now that's fashionable!

Challenge yourself to think before you throw. We know you have a creative bone in that fabulous body...

Fashionably Yours,

There's not a whole lot young designer Olga Kapustina and I have in common. But we align where it counts- for example, on most days you can find us hung up at Neiman's or Barneys.

Her romantic design style and whimsical use of combining textures, put Olga at the top of our favorite young (but not novice) designer must-have list.

Now this is {Glamorous}

*This is a photo of The St. Regis New York's Tiffany Suite. They're currently offering a Sparkling Duo package that includes champagne upon arrival, dinner for two, a ride through central park, and a personal tour of Tiffany &. Co. I'm seeing dream date in beautiful, bright, teal blue lighting.

What do you wear with everything?

This BCBG blazer has the versatility to be your go-to item to spruce up any outfit. Got jeans and a white cotton tee? This goes with that! Have a LBD you want to dress down just enough for dinner? This goes with that too- just wear it open with a couple layered gold necklaces.

We like how this looks with the sleeves rolled up (it is Summer, after all!) but the sleeves come down so you can take your blazer into your very important meeting as well.

*What's your Theory on fashion?

Our Theory is just this- Style should be wearable!

8" Louboutin ballet slipper heels are fabulous in all their avant-garde glory, but wearing them to grab a gallon of milk is out of the question.
Take this Theory dress for example. You can wear it to the office with black patent slingbacks, or throw on gladiator flats and a brightly colored belt for a casual weekend outfit. It's a wearable win-win fashion situation.

*Sea Shells for Sale

*My Shells

Since I was little, whenever my family went on a vacation I would immediately walk to the beach and collect sea shells. I especially loved the ones with tiny holes, just large enough to fit a string for a necklace.

Add nostalgia, a love for fashion and for warm Summers on the beach, and I am LOVING our jewelery line of sea inspired shapes.

*Shiny Metallics

We would like to take a moment to express our love for the shiny things in life, namely the Metallic.

Metallic has been in our lives for some time now, yet it never quite gets the acclaim it deserves. Often a dash on a sandal, a strand on your headband, or even an accessory that you tote each and every day. We raise our heels to you, metallic pieces, for you often make our outfits sparkle, with minimal damage to our wallets.

Polish: OPI- Glitzerland. Sandals- Forever 21.

*Striking Gold

We have already begun to look for our next unique jewelry artist/pieces to feature. When I tried this on, I definitely felt like I struck gold! What do you think? The artist had some amazing thoughts to make some special necklaces and bracelets just for our feature (yes, I'm giddy).

Decor {design inspiration}

{A space to fall in love with}

We absolutely loved the floral wall art behind the breezy light blue curtains, the complementing chandelier, and the pop of yellow color in the vintage desk and chairs. Like any fashionista's room would proudly display, a single hanging piece of clothing makes a room into a beautifully done fashion statement.

*Falling for Tory

*I'm sure we've expressed our love for Tory Burch on more than one occasion. And know with looks like these, you can never be too safe. What's more repellent than these hot pink rubber flats?
Wrap up your feet and be fully confident that you are one stylish (and smart) fashionista.

*Weekend style

Old St. Pat's Block Party, Taste of River North {and a few escapades of my own} I decided to spend my final day of the weekend in shades and a comfy white tee. That's not to say I kept my new treasures stored away- I am absolutely loving our new glam line from T.C. Her pieces went with everything I wore this weekend! {Straight to the top of my designer faves}

Pick them up off the beach- or better yet, right off our new "Jewelry for Sale" tab.

*Where the sea shells are...

*The home page of www.shopmagstyle.com has been transformed into a deep sea treasure hunt. Designer Tiffany Chou gave us some amazing pieces, as we just began our new feature: showcasing our absolute favorite local designers, boutiques and artists.

With Summer nights spent in cotton dresses and afternoons in the water and at the beach, our first pick for featured designer was easy breezy. We snatched up some of our favorite sea inspired jewelry, including this coral cuff & hoop earrings (pictured), a shark tooth and clam shell necklace and more. We are so excited to bring you our fashion faves! You can purchase your favorite treasure at www.shopmagstyle.com.

{New in Store}

American designer Marc Jacobs has become a prominent fixture in the NYC celeb scene since becoming a designer in his early teens. All grown up, Jacobs has hit celeb status himself.

You can find your status in an American classic- the jean jacket. Take our word, this Mr. Jacobs jean will be a prominent fixture in your casual wear.

As American as Marc Jacobs. Size 6, at www.shopmagstyle.com.

*What's your "dry" time?

Mine is zero after being reintroduced to Sally. Ms. Hanson nailed it with this "nail strip" miracle product. Just peel them off their strip and stick them to your nails. Simply file un-needed material, then zip your pencil skirt, run your fingers through your hair.. and all the other things that you couldn't do for 25 minutes after a traditional mani. Sally, welcome back to our medicine cabinet.

This product (and most of the 24 designs) get a Shop Mag "A". Available at most drug stores, beauty supply chains, and our travel survival kits.

*Quite a Season

The city has endured hail, lightning storms and swirling clouds all in the past few weeks. If you haven't weather-proofed your wardrobe yet, those pretty red pumps may introduce your rear to the yellow brick road before you can say evil monkey.

Who knows what wicked conditions are brewing next, so be prepared and always be stylish. There's no place like Shop Mag Style, there's no place like Shop Mag Style...

New Fave: Coral & Floral

I hit the city this morning with coral at heart... I have been a classic pink girl until finding this vintage coral floral cuff. Now everyhting I seem to gravitate towards has this fabulous shade. It speaks Summer, and will definitely make the transititon with me into seasons to come. Do you tend to stick to a particular shade?

Vintage photo, antique drawers, animal prints & a blue velvet throne. I would expect nothing less from Ms Lepore. This is our glam photo of the day.

*Look Alike

We just did a feature on a dress that looks almost identical to this backless green jaw dropper! Love when we see trends on par with the shop's inventory. *Hot Tip* Watch for Burberry and Cole Haan in the next couple of days!

Reduce, Reuse, RECYCLE

In the spirit of reusing, reducing waste, and recycling old materials into something updated, here are a few handbags I bought second hand. You can reduce your carbon footprint by supporting second hand shopping instead of buying new (even if just one pre-loved item a month), selling things you no longer use, or finding a new use for items instead of tossing them. Second hand does NOT mean you have to give up style!
1.) Vintage Gucci
2.) Bally silver quilted cross-body
3.) Navy blue eel shoulder bag

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

You've brought sexy back...

The leather skirt number was smoking. The white semi sheer tank with ripped jeans and strappy black heels was super cool of you. But this ASOS dress just may just be the sophisticated kind of sexy that deserves a certain chorus to be stuck in your head for another 3 months.

With a rear view this hot you'll want to type http://stores.ebay.com/Shop-Mag-Style ...backwards.

Hey Hugo,

You haven't called and your two day window about to close. There's something to say for a little transparency. Sheer-ly you were ruffled to meet me. I can see right through you Hugo- Hugo? Hugo? Hellooooo?

Hang onto Hugo. It's obvious he has nothing to hide. He's just spread a little thin, and his layers are very close to his heart. Edgy and sheer, with ruffled layers, that's my Hugo.

The windows are still open at www.shopmagstyle.com

*Patriotic lights

My street style is pretty simple- I like to stride in high comfort. Cotton dress and flat boots- Golden. Hair? Air dried, long and wavy. Beyond my awkward pose and staple half smile, this picture's background is far cooler than I could have planned. Red White & Blue lights shine on behind me, the weekend after the 4th... loving all this twilight!

{Nothing feminine about it}

Cohesive, Georg Roth & Oso Republic. Gents, what's cooler than a soft shirt you can throw on with dark denim jeans and flip flops? The detail in the cuffs make these shirts even better rolled up.

Summer nights just got cooler. All shirts: XL www.shopmagstyle.com

A perfect Soy Chai

If you know me well (or had met me 10 minutes ago) you most likely picked up on the fact that I am a caffeine junkie. Coffee is definitely my first love but in the past year especially, Soy Chai has become a part of my morning ritual. While Organic Tazo Chai concentrate over near boiling soy gets the job done, this recipe was too good to keep to myself.

Chai Tea Latte, 1 mug

1 large mug soy or almond milk (another recent love)
1 bag or tea ball (strainer) of black tea
3 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick (or a dash at the end)
3 pods of cardamom
a few pinches of dried ground ginger
1 tsp honey
Pour soy milk in a mug to measure and then transfer it into a heating pan. Add the tea bag and the spices, and heat until almost boiling. Lower temperature and let simmer for a few minutes, then turn off the heat and let it stand for a few minutes more.

Strain the tea and pour into a mug. Add dollop of honey.

* A little bit of pretty

I have been searching California Closets all day. I want to re-vamp my closet- starting with the bones. Rachel Zoe, what about a trade?

How do you reward yourself for cleaning your closet?

*Okay, so your closet doesn't look like this...

There's stilettos dangling from the chandelier, scarves stuffed in every corner, and you're triple hanging tank tops on single wire hangers.

The fabulous-ness must start NOW. Envision one thing you would put at the top of your Christmas or Hanukkah list. What is your heart set on? A spark...ly Michele Watch? An iconic Chanel quilted chain strap bag? Tory Burch flats? You have two ways to hit "Fabulous" status.

1.) We will help you go through your closet with your item price at heart. We will rid you of old items to get to the amount needed for your new item.
2.) We can personally shop for your item for you- through eBay. Your fabulous item will be guaranteed authentic. We will hunt for the deepest discounts on any item your heart desires.

Let's upgrade your life, one closet at a time. www.shopmagstyle.com.
